Vietjets expansion to India quadriples

Particularly in the Indian market, where it has quadrupled the number of passengers compared to previous year, Vietjet’s overseas development has been effective.

In the second quarter of 2023, the airline introduced 11 new foreign routes, which significantly increased international traffic.

Also entering Australia, Vietjet has increased passenger volume by double.

The airline has benefited from Vietjet’s global expansion during the past year, especially in the Indian market. In comparison to previous year, the airline’s passenger traffic between Vietnam and India has more than quadrupled.

Vietjet observes a significant increase in traffic in India.

In the second quarter of 2023, Vietjet introduced 11 new international flights to Australia, Indonesia, and India. In the first half of 2023, it oversaw a tremendous surge in foreign traffic that carried 3.5 million people.

The airline served over 300,000 passengers in the first half of this year, nearly five times as many as it did in the corresponding period last year. This is particularly true of its quick expansion in India, which has produced exceptional results in this market. Between January and June, the low-cost airline transported more than half of the 6.9 million international travelers coming to and from Vietnam.

The airline declared:

“Vietjet’s international routes, with their affordable prices and top-notch services, have helped to bridge cultural gaps, bring people in the Asia-Pacific area closer together, and unite civilizations. Additionally, they have improved bilateral trade and investment and promoted tourism, which has helped both nations’ economies recover and grow. One of the most aggressive worldwide expansions of any airline in recent memory has been carried out by Vietjet. The airline has expanded its global network by adding a number of flights, and by giving away millions of free tickets, it has drawn customers and publicity.

Vietjet’s Indian network within

The Vietnamese airline currently flies to four Indian cities — Ahmedabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and New Delhi — on seven routes from its bases in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Its whole network now consists of 120 routes, 75 of which are domestic and 45 of which are international, to approximately 100 locations throughout the world. The airline introduced its “SkyBoss Business” class at the start of the year on its Airbus A330 fleet, which now flies to Australia, India, Kazakhstan, Japan, and South Korea.

Australia expansion

In addition to adding a fourth route, Perth, in November, Vietjet has added three new routes since April from Ho Chi Minh City to Australia’s three largest cities: Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. The airline recently declared it would offer $0 rates for the introduction of its Perth flights, as it has done numerous times on other routes.

Prior to 2023, the airline estimated that 500,000 people will travel annually between Vietnam and Australia. The company’s weekly passenger volume has doubled since the introduction of its new routes, and by the end of the year, it is anticipated that traffic would reach one million. In order to further increase capacity in a region where there is obviously high demand, the airline will start offering 70% more A330 capacity on its Australian routes in December.
