In Sydney, Australia’s Surry Hills neighborhood, a significant fire was being fought by more than 100 firemen from Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW). FRNSW said that there were concerns the fire could spread to nearby structures as some of the walls of a multi-story building collapsed. The worst kind of fire, according to officials, was at “10th alarm” status. It is not yet clear if there were any other injuries or fatalities, but one firefighter did have a minor burn on his arm.
