The first of Iraqi Airways’ ten Boeing 787 Dreamliners is expected to arrive soon.
The first of ten brand-new Boeing 787 Dreamliners due for delivery in the coming days has been announced by Iraqi Airlines as something they are eagerly awaiting.
The first Dreamliner for Iraqi Airlines has been fully assembled by Boeing, the airline said on March 16, 2023, in a statement on social media. The statement was shown next to a picture of a brand-new 787 with the airline’s livery.
The Boeing 787 was put together in the company’s Charleston, South Carolina, factory and is registered as YI-ATC. The airline states that the next action is for the two businesses to agree on a date for the delivery trip. The airline has not specified a potential date for that to occur.
Social media users also posted pictures of the plane wearing the livery of Iraqi Airways.
The airline has ordered 10 Dreamliners in all, nine 787-8s and one 787-9, the largest of the two models. According to data from CH-Aviation, the ten aircraft will all be powered by General Electric GEnx-1B engines.
Baghdad International Airport (BGW), in Baghdad, Iraq, is where Iraqi Airlines is situated. The airline now has a fleet of 36 aircraft, of which 19 are parked. Moreover, it has 26 aircraft on order. According to CH-Aviation, the airline is also waiting for the delivery of one Airbus A220 and 15 Boeing 737 MAXs in addition to the 10 Boeing 787s.
