Leniency for schoolgirl pregnancies

The edict, which has been published in the Royal Gazette and is now enforceable, was jointly issued by the ministries of education, higher education, science, research, and innovations.

The ministerial order aims to safeguard everyone’s right to a quality education when they are enrolled in high school, college, or university, including pregnant students.

Nonetheless, schools, colleges, or universities must abide by the requests of the student if they choose to transfer a pregnant student of their own free will.

Pregnant students used to be expelled from their schools, colleges, or universities or made to leave since they were thought to be a disgrace to their institutions. They frequently quit school and couldn’t continue their studies.
