A German-American executive of a transport company was detained by police after reportedly participating in a multimillion dollar embezzlement in the US before escaping to Thailand.The foreign national was detained at a condominium complex on Lat Phrao 10 Road in Chatuchak district on Thursday for alleged embezzlement and money-laundering with other suspects, according to Pol Maj Gen Montree Thesakhan, chief of the Crime Suppression Division, on Friday. He named the man simply Lars.
