The first Phase of the highspeed rail that will be linking Bangkok and Kunming will be ready for 2026. The first 251 kilometers of the high-speed rail line will have 6 stations between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima. Which starts off with Bang sue grand station then Don Mueang Airport, Ayuthaya, Saraburi then Pak Chong.
The Fuxing Hao model CR300 AF train has a maximum capacity of 600 passengers. The project has 15 contraction contracts. But the construction has been completed with one contract but the 10 others on the way and 3 waiting for signatures.
According to Mr. Anucha, Chinese authorities had promised the Thai government to transfer their knowledge of High-speed rail inclusive of materials, Rail lines along with different infrastructure designs.
The Railway will help enhance the country’s economy and also most importantly future growth.
The rail project has been through numerous delays since announced in 2010.
The major point of it was the financial part whilst Thailand was insisting that it will be funding the project. It was not interested and want to repeat the experiences in other countries that China was helping out.
