The Department of Highways is offering toll-free services on Route 81 to welcome the Songkran Festival in the year 2024.
🚦 (During Songkran Festival)
- From Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 00:01 a.m. to Sunday, April 21, 2567, at 11:59 p.m. (temporary 24-hour service)
- Accessible from and exiting at 4 checkpoints: Nakhon Pathom on the west side, Tha Ma Kae, Tha Muang, and Kanchanaburi.
🚧 Checkpoint 1: Entrance and exit point at Motorway M81, Highway 321 near the Nakhon Pathom Transport Office, approximately 4 kilometers from Rajamangala University of Technology Nakhon Pathom.
🚧 Checkpoint 2: Entrance and exit at Motorway M81, Highway 3394 near the sub-district municipality of Krab Yai, Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi, about 1.5 kilometers from Ban Huai Krabok Sub-district Municipality, and 15 kilometers from the Ban Pong District Office in Ratchaburi.
🚧 Checkpoint 3: Entrance and exit at Motorway M81, Highway 3081, about 1 kilometer from the Kanchanaburi Transport Office (Tha Ma Kae branch), 3 kilometers from Tha Reua Intersection in Tha Ma Kae, and 7 kilometers from Ban Phra Thaen Intersection in Tha Ma Kae.
🚧 Checkpoint 4: Entrance and exit at Motorway M81, Highway 324 near Ban Huai Talung School, Tha Muang, Kanchanaburi, about 3 kilometers from Nong Khao Police Station in Tha Muang and 6 kilometers from Kanchanaburi Technical College.




🚦 (After Songkran Festival)
- From April 26, 2024 (weekly service) – Open Friday from 3:00 p.m. to Sunday at 9:00 p.m.
- Accessible at 2 checkpoints: Nakhon Pathom on the west side and Kanchanaburi.
🚘 Service available for 4-wheeled vehicles only; large vehicles such as buses and trucks, or motorcycles, are not permitted.
🚧 No parking on the shoulders of the road.
8️⃣0️⃣ Speed limits not to exceed 80 km/h as the system is not yet operational to support speeds of 120 km/h, ensuring easier and safer traffic management for road users.
