Pattaya to Upgrade Walking Street with Spectacular 3D LED Signage

PATTAYA, Thailand — April 30, 2025 — In a bid to elevate its image as a premier global tourism hub, Pattaya City is set to overhaul its iconic Walking Street signage with state-of-the-art 3D LED screens, officials announced this week.

Mayor Poramese Ngampichet revealed that the modernization project will focus on two key entrances to the bustling nightlife strip, introducing high-resolution LED displays designed to reflect the energy and vibrancy of Pattaya.

At the main entrance, the existing 8×4 meter static sign will be replaced with a curved, double-sided LED screen measuring 9×12 meters, featuring P4.81 resolution for sharp and vivid visuals day and night. The revamped structure will include LED-lit lettering, aluminum composite pillars, and dynamic neon flex lighting for added visual flair.

Meanwhile, a second installation near Bali Hai Pier will replace the current signage with a 9×3 meter frontal LED display, also with P4.81 resolution. One side will show animated visuals and promotional content, while the reverse side will feature illuminated metallic letters spelling out “Walking Street.”

Running from April 24 to August 21, 2025, the four-month upgrade will involve collaboration between city authorities and local business operators to curate engaging content. Proposals include themed animations, mascot-led promotions, and scenes highlighting Pattaya’s attractions, all designed to enhance the tourist experience.

Officials say the initiative will not only modernize the city’s most famous street but also help strengthen Pattaya’s global brand as a must-visit destination.
