Ajinomoto launches ready-to-eat porridge in response to modern consumers’ demand for convenient, quick, and healthy meals

On July 17, Mr. Daisaburo Koga, Managing Director of Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., announced that the company is launching a new ready-to-eat porridge product in response to the fast-paced lifestyles of modern consumers. These consumers are increasingly looking for meals that are easy, convenient, and quick to prepare—while still being healthy. Ajinomoto has used these insights to develop an innovative ready-to-eat porridge product, applying its core expertise in “AminoScience” to create a product that offers authentic, delicious taste, convenience, and health benefits. This aligns with Ajinomoto’s business philosophy of contributing to a well-nourished and healthy society worldwide.

Mr. Benjaphon Limpolyan, Manager of the Health and Nutrition Division at Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that with the growing demand for ready-to-eat food products, the company has introduced “Ajinomoto Quick Meal”, which is designed for modern consumers seeking simple yet tasty meals during busy moments while still receiving complete nutritional value. The product uses “Jok So Cool” as a taste guarantee and is especially targeted at working professionals.

A standout feature of the product is the traditional delicious flavor and satisfying texture—users can clearly taste the grains of rice and real meat. The porridge is packaged in a convenient pouch that is easy to carry. Simply tear it open and enjoy the umami flavor of the porridge. It is available in pork and chicken flavors, each in a 200-gram pouch, priced at 35 baht. The company also plans a full-scale marketing campaign across all channels.
