Thai Airways Enforces Two Power Banks per Passenger LimitThai Airways Enforces Two Power Banks per Passenger Limit

Thai Airways International has reminded passengers of updated regulations allowing each traveller to carry no more than two power banks, while strictly prohibiting their use or charging during flights.

In a social media announcement on Thursday, the airline said the measure has been in effect since March 27, aligning with enhanced safety guidelines issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

According to ICAO, the revised policy limits passengers to two power banks per person and bans recharging or using the devices on board. However, flight crew are permitted to carry and use power banks as part of their operational duties.

The introduction of the new rules has taken some travellers by surprise. At Hong Kong International Airport, passengers reported confusion and raised concerns over a lack of clear signage and communication regarding the changes.
