AirAsia is making domestic travel more budget-friendly than ever by teaming up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to encourage exploration of the country’s hidden gems. The airline is offering one-way fares starting at just 880 baht, allowing travellers to visit 16 destinations across Thailand’s four regions.

This limited-time promotion is available for booking until March 9, with travel dates from March 10 to September 30. AirAsia aims to connect lesser-known cities with tourists eager to explore beyond Thailand’s mainstream hotspots.
In the north, flights are available to Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok, Nan, and Lampang. Isaan boasts seven destinations, including Loei, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, and Roi Et. Meanwhile, southern travellers can fly affordably to Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Chumphon, Ranong, and Narathiwat. Notably, Udon Thani is accessible from both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports, offering greater flexibility.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasized the importance of spreading tourism across the country to support local economies. “TAT aims to link significant cities with attractive tourist destinations, ensuring an even spread of income across all regions.”
AirAsia CEO Santisuk Klongchaiya reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to domestic travel, highlighting the charm of these less-traveled destinations. “While they may not be major tourist hubs, these cities offer unique experiences that appeal to a new generation of travellers.”
