Am’s ex-husband, a police officer, is detained by the police

Report on the ongoing serial killing investigations involving 36-year-old suspect “Am the Cyanide” Miss Sararat Rangsiwutthaporn, who is charged with poisoning at least 14 victims and leaving only one alive. A deputy inspector overseeing the probe and Am’s ex-husband recently had suspicions.

Am’s ex-husband, Pol Lt Col Withoon Rungsiwutaphon, the deputy chief investigator of the Suan Phueng Police Station, was apprehended by police in the Nakhon Pathom Province on May 4 after confessing to allegations of receiving stolen items, forgery, and using false official documents. The police have discovered that, in connection with the two allegations that gave rise to the arrest warrant, Pol. Lt. Col. Withoon picked up Am and transported her from Udon Thani to Bangkok in a white Chevrolet Captiva that belonged to Am’s late husband Dae. Am and Police Lt. Col. Withoon also pawned Dae’s automobile in the province of Nakhon Pathom. Additionally, it was found that in three incidents connected to Am’s case, Pol. Lt. Col. Withoon and Am had used forged official documents.

He was subsequently freed after posting a $100,000 bail. The deputy chief of the national police, Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn, declared that he would visit the prison the same day to question “Am” there because he thought that after a few days there, she could confess more. This came about after he discovered that she was the one who picked up Miss Montratip or Sai, a 37-year-old victim who was at Suvarnabhumi Airport on July 7, 2015, before she passed away in Bangkok the following day.

“Police officers must treat cases fairly. Clear proof is required if we wish to accuse someone. Although society may have already rendered its decision, we must still conduct an investigation and compile evidence from various sources and witnesses to present to the prosecution. If they believe that the evidence is still lacking, we must gather additional to strengthen the case and make it clearer to the court so that it can render a fair judgment. To establish a connection between the deaths in each case, the police commander in this instance has instructed the investigation unit to gather evidence and file charges in court, according to Pol. Lt. Gen. Surachate.
