Car flips over after Taxi cuts in at traffic lights

Last night on Local Road in Bangkok, a white Honda City sedan ran a red light while going too fast and struck a cab. Although scared, the 40-year-old motorist was not gravely hurt when police and volunteers arrived on the site to conduct an investigation.

The white Honda City with the license number 1225 Chanthaburi was discovered in a mess on its roof at the accident scene on Local Road near Ngam Wong Wan Road.

Somchai Bua Chom, who is 40 years old, was the driver. Somchai did not sustain any severe wounds, but he did appear stunned. A pink cab with the number 9981 Bangkok was nearby and was parked on the left side of the road with damage to its right cheek.

Somchai said that he had reached the Bang Khen crossroads while traveling from the Laksi intersection in the direction of the Wat Samian temple. He accelerated in an effort to get through the signal as the green traffic light was about to turn red.

However, a taxi pulled out in front of him, causing a collision, so he did not arrive in time. The investigating officers initially gave the taxi and automobile drivers the order to appear at the Pracha Chuen police station for additional interrogation in order to ascertain the circumstances behind the collision. The appropriate time for legal action will come.
