Dusit Hotels and Resorts have announced plans to revive the renowned Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel, with a scheduled reopening in September 2024. The new hotel will be situated at the same prestigious location formerly occupied by its predecessor, a prominent fixture in Bangkok’s skyline from 1970 to 2019.

Suphajee Suthumpun, the Group CEO of Dusit International, highlighted that this venture symbolizes their commitment to evolving and leveraging their heritage to create unforgettable experiences for the future. Unlike the original hotel’s 517 rooms, the new 39-storey property will offer a more intimate setting with 257 rooms, each providing scenic views of Lumpini Park due to a unique corridor floorplan.

In line with the original hotel’s reputation for luxury, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok will feature expansive banquet and meeting facilities spanning over 5,000 square meters. Signature elements from the previous property have been thoughtfully preserved and integrated into the new building’s design.

Suphajee mentioned that the fusion of tradition and innovation at the new Dusit Thani Bangkok aims to surprise and delight both loyal followers of the original hotel and modern travelers. She emphasized that this reimagined landmark will set the stage for pioneering services and experiences at Dusit Hotels and Resorts worldwide, as reported by the Bangkok Post.

Adrian Rudin, the Managing Director of Dusit Thani Bangkok, expressed his joy and pride in leading the revival of this iconic establishment. He noted the original hotel’s significant role in the community over nearly five decades and welcomed this new era where heritage harmonizes with contemporary elements to offer guests an exceptional stay.

The new Dusit Thani Bangkok will be strategically positioned within Dusit Central Park, a landmark mixed-use development valued at 46 billion baht. This expansive project will encompass ultra-luxury residences, an innovative office tower, an upscale retail center, and a vast Roof Park spanning 11,200 square meters. These additional components are slated to be progressively unveiled in 2025.
