On March 19th, a report emerged from Krabi Provincial Bus Station in Tambon Krabi Yai, Mueang District, Krabi Province. A surveillance camera captured an incident involving a young woman disembarking from a bus on the Phuket-Patthalung route with license plate number 10-2117 Trang.
She had been traveling from Phuket Province and made a stop at Krabi Provincial Bus Station, accompanied by a 7-year-old girl. However, upon the woman’s return from the restroom, she boarded the bus by herself, leaving the girl behind. This incident took place on the evening of March 18th.
Following this event, the young girl emerged from the restroom to find her mother missing. Subsequent inquiries revealed that her mother had brought her there and abandoned her before boarding a bus to escape. Authorities were alerted, leading to an investigation that identified the mother as a 25-year-old resident of Trang Province.
Subsequently, authorities reached out to the bus driver to contact the girl’s mother and arrange for her to retrieve the child. However, the mother indicated that the child’s father, engaged in construction work in Pela, K long Tom District, Krabi Province, would take custody of the child before ending the call.
Initially, authorities coordinated with relatives and ensured the safe transfer of the child to a relative’s residence.
