Highways Department provides 27 camp areas for the public tents

The Highways Department of Thailand has opened 27 camp sites near tourist attractions in 13 provinces for the public to pitch their tents for the Songkran holiday.

Sarawut Songsivilai, the department’s director-general, stated today (Wednesday) that the sites are open to the public for free until Monday and provide space for car parking and tents.

There are authorities at each point to help guests, and each place has toilets and facilities.

Those interested in using the facilities can contact officials at the locations or phone the department’s 1586 hotline at any time. The department can also provide information on the camp sites.

Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son, Lampang, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, Phitsanuloke, Phetchabun, Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Bueng Kan, and Loei have camp sites.
