TikTok sells party drugs disguised as drinks and coffee packs: ONCB

Drug trafficking groups have recently used a new tactic to sell party drugs like ketamine and Ecstasy online, disguising them as electrolyte and collagen drinks and coffee.

Wichai Chaimongkhon, Secretary-General of the Office of Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), stated today (Wednesday) that officials got a tip yesterday of an advertisement on TikTok offering such things containing the party drugs.

According to Wichai, the post also includes phone numbers and WhatsApp contacts from a neighboring nation, and multiple TikTok users, including Thais and foreigners, have made transactions.

He stated that the coffee costs 1,500 baht per box (retail) and 1,200 baht (wholesale), but that the medications are only available in the Golden Triangle region and not in Thailand.

He warned that the boxes frequently include a combination of numerous party drugs, which are extremely dangerous for customers and can result in death.

According to Wichai, the ONCB has been closely monitoring websites that have posted adverts selling illegal substances for sale online, and he cautioned that web masters or administrators might face two years in prison and/or a fine of up to 200,000 baht for publishing such ads.
