On the first day of the Seven Days of Danger road safety campaign during Songkran, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported 278 road accidents, with 27 deaths and 287 injuries. On April 11th, there were 278 accidents, 27 deaths, and 287 injuries. The majority were caused by excessive speeding (35.25 percent). Motorcycles were involved in around 79 percent of the accidents.

Highways accounted for approximately 48 percent of all road accidents. The majority of accidents occurred between 7:01 and 8:00 p.m.Pathum Thani, Phetchabun, and Loei had the most fatalities, each with two. Phatthalung had the most accidents and injuries, with 14 accidents and 18 injuries.
