Bangkok is preparing for the first officially organized Disney running event in Thailand, as Disney Run Thailand 2026 takes over Rama VIII Bridge and its riverside park on Sunday, July 19. The event offers two distances: a 10K starting at 4am and a 5K starting an hour later at 5am, letting runners take in a sunrise view of the Chao Phraya River in mouse ears and Disney gear. Registration costs 1,000 baht for the 10K and 800 baht for the 5K.
Race Day Details and Course
The course starts and finishes at Rama VIII Bridge and the adjoining public park, taking runners over the Borommaratchachonnani elevated road for an added climb. Water stations and medical support are positioned every two kilometers along the route. Cut-off times are relatively strict for a themed run: two hours for the 10K and one hour for the 5K, meaning participants planning extended photo stops with Disney characters may need to keep a steady pace. Runrio TH is handling race logistics alongside Disney's Thailand team.
What Runners Get, and How to Collect Race Packs
Every participant receives an official Disney Run event shirt, while those who cross the finish line take home a medal and a licensed Disney-branded towel featuring familiar characters. Registration opened on May 25 at 11am and sold out quickly, reflecting strong demand for Thailand's first official Disney race. Runners must collect race packs in person on July 17-18 at CentralWorld in central Bangkok; there is no same-day pickup available on race morning.
