Thailand's Prime Minister's Office opened the Thailand Food Therapy Festival in Pattaya on Monday, marking the final of three training sessions aimed at strengthening the country's food and health tourism sector through AI-powered business tools and a new digital platform for diners.
Third Training Wraps Up Nationwide Rollout
Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Naphinthon Srisarangphang led the opening ceremony at the Eastern Grand Palace Hotel, with sessions covering business planning, AI marketing tools, and personal branding for food and health tourism operators. Backed by the Office of SME Promotion (OSMEP) and Suan Dusit University, the training followed earlier sessions in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, drawing large numbers of participants from the three pilot provinces. Economist Dr. Kittichoke Nithisathian opened proceedings with a lecture on business planning fundamentals, before afternoon sessions focused on using AI for marketing and building brand loyalty among customers.
New App to Guide Diners to Certified Vendors
The project also unveiled the "Thai Street Gold Star" mobile app, a digital platform connecting food operators, restaurants, tourists and consumers, designed to help visitors easily find vendors that meet upgraded hygiene and quality standards. Organisers said the training and the roadshow that follows are intended to help small food and health tourism businesses raise their profile, expand into new markets, and build consumer trust, with plans to eventually scale the model to all 77 of Thailand's provinces.
