Lufthansa resumes A380 flights to Bangkok

Lufthansa A380 Bangkok one

As of October 29 Lufthansa has just resumed its Airbus A380 services. But this time from Munich not Frankfurt as Lufthansa now bases its A380 fleet in Munich. It will be operating for the high season as travel to and from Thailand is very busy. Off season Lufthansa uses the Airbus A350-900 equipment. Before Lufthansa was always serving from its main hub at Frankfurt but within the pandemic period it’s been operating from Munich its other hub.

Lufthansa’s A380 is fitted with 8 First class, 78 Business Class, 56 Premium Economy Class and 371 Economy class. Bangkok is the only destination in Asia that the Lufthansa A380 fleet is operating to. But later will operate to more destinations as they are slowly reactivating their A380 fleet. Again the Lufthansa bases their A380 and their A350 out of Munich and they have a fleet of A340-600 fleet which they both use Munich and Frankfurt. Their 747-8 Fleet is based only in Frankfurt and so will their future 777-9 fleet.

Lufthansa to be resuming to Frankfurt from Bangkok is not confirmed yet. But Thai Airways is operating 2 daily flights to Frankfurt using their 777-300ER and the A350-900 to Munich one daily.
