Prime Minister Srettha visited Laos on Monday in regards to proposing to building a new railway bridge to getting the two countries connected. This is to facilitate the new bilateral trades between Laos and Thailand.
Government spokesman Chai Wachanoke said that Mr. Srettha proposed that the two countries to improve the bilateral trades. Also wanting Laos and the North East into the growth area. Prime Minister Srettha has also proposed to put the new bridge linking Nongkhai and Vientiane.
Thailand was ready to offer a soft loan to Laos to fund the new project. But also asked Laos to set clear the cargo handling charges in Vientiane to facilitate the planning and of course again semi trailered trucks from Thailand to enter Laos. Just as it was doing prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Plus Thailand is interested to buying more clean energy from Laos to support the in the industrial growth.
