New Boeing 787 Dreamliner Seats Are Unveiled By Etihad Airways

In the third quarter, the new product will go on sale.

On display at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai are new seats for Etihad Airways’ Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The brand-new seats will make their debut in the third quarter of this year, when the airline anticipates receiving three Dreamliners.

The business-minded Etihad

Etihad Airways is presenting a number of products at the Arabian Travel Market, which is taking place this week in Dubai from May 01–04. The airline showcased brand-new seats for its Boeing 787s today; they will go on sale in Q3. As the first airline in the world to select the seat for a Dreamliner, Eithad chose the Collins Elements seat for its business class.

The airline made changes to the seat, enlarging the suite from the original, which made its debut on the Airbus A350.With considerable upgrades to Etihad’s in-flight entertainment system, technology is also getting a major update. New Rave Ultra 4K inflight entertainment screens will be installed in the Dreamliners’ business class cabins. The new IFE screens have Bluetooth connectivity, which is quickly becoming the norm for new IFE, and support for pairing and using remote controls with smartphones and tablets.

“Etihad’s new 787 Dreamliner cabin interior displays additional improvements to our award-winning and well-known industry cabins. The second development of the Business Studio, which was introduced on the Airbus A350-1000 last year, is what gives our new Business class an unparalleled level of guest experience. Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer, Antonoaldo Neves.

IFE isn’t the only piece of technology getting updated. In order to deliver high speeds, support streaming while in flight, and enable the airline to offer live television, Etihad has chosen new Wi-Fi equipment from Viasat that utilises Ka band technology. The most well-liked messaging apps, like WhatsApp, Messenger, and more, may all be accessed via the many WiFi packages that are already accessible on flights, including free chat packages. Purchaseable extra packages are offered.

Etihad made a huge announcement in October about its soft items in business class and its collaboration with Armani Casa. New bedding, cutlery, crockery, and glassware are included in the “Constellation Collection,” as designated by Etihad and Armani. The new goods, according to Etihad, are now available in business class on all of its aircraft.

emphasizing sustainability

When it comes to in-flight eating in economy cabins, Etihad has announced that single-use plastics would no longer be used. Both the passenger experience and staff productivity have been prioritized in the design of all the equipment.New seats that are lighter than the ones now in the economy cabin have also been chosen, increasing the aircraft’s fuel efficiency. There will also be new 4K touchscreens installed. Added Neves

“We are happy to present these at the Arabian Travel Market, where we continue to be totally committed to offering our guests experiences that are industry-leading. Growth is the theme of this year for Etihad; in addition to improving the travel experience for our guests and expanding our fleet, we’ve also announced new routes for our network, including Kolkata last month, Lisbon, Malaga, and Mykonos this summer, and Copenhagen and Dusseldorf in the fourth quarter.
