The UAE-based megacarrier Emirates has announced intentions to extend service to Canada later this year, creating a new route connecting Dubai and Montreal. Emirates has stated that the opening of service to Montreal coincides with efforts by the UAE and Canada to strengthen their bilateral commercial ties. The two hope to improve trade flows and business ties while also stimulating benefits for the aviation and tourist industries.

The new daily flights to Montreal will aid in meeting the enormous demand for direct flights between Dubai and Canada, notably to its two main metropolitan centres. Additionally, travelers from Montreal and the surrounding areas can take use of the airline’s flights to and through Dubai to connect to Emirates’ extensive worldwide network of over 130 destinations in over 70 countries and territories.Adnam Kazim, Emirates’ chief commercial officer, announced the airline’s intentions to start operating on the new route.

With our increased presence in the nation, we look forward to facilitating new trade routes, which will benefit Canadian exporters and businesses in a variety of ways, promote tourism in more cities, and create more jobs in all sectors, including those directly related to the aviation industry.
