The flow of bare limbs became so backed up that it was impossible to see the river below. Yet, the congested surroundings just added to the festival atmosphere as visitors joked and laughed while taking in the scenery.
With over 600,000 views as of Friday, the video quickly gained popularity.
Foreign visitors typically arrive to float down this 2-kilometer portion of the river in late January and early February, according to a staff member at the riverfront Rim Pai Cottage Hotel.

He said that employees from surrounding hotels and resorts were sent to watch over the safety of the innertube excursions.
Around 90% of the hotel’s guests this month are foreign visitors, who have been attracted by the new attraction, he noted.
