Six Senses has entered into a hotel management agreement with Narai Hospitality Group to launch Six Senses Bangkok as part of Hatai, a visionary mixed-use development on the site of the historic Narai Hotel in Silom. Originally opening in 1968, Narai Hotel became a trailblazer in Thailand’s hospitality industry, serving as a popular gathering spot that shaped Silom’s skyline and established itself as a hub for business and social events. Over more than five decades, it was renowned for exceptional service and unique offerings, attracting travelers, celebrities, and members of royalty. Now, in collaboration with Narai Hospitality Group, a new chapter begins with the debut of Six Senses Bangkok.
The new hotel will provide an intimate experience with approximately 100 spacious rooms and suites offering a tranquil escape from the city’s bustle, complemented by wellness spaces and warm, intuitive hospitality.
The original wooden foundation of Narai Hotel has been thoughtfully preserved and incorporated into the interior design, aligning with Six Senses’ philosophy of utilizing local, sustainable, and natural materials. At the top of the hotel, a 700m² suite and signature restaurant designed by Joyce Wang will feature interiors by Bar Studio, harmonizing with the overall architectural vision. The design includes a sky garden that links the main restaurant to a sky lobby and features biophilic design elements.
Guests can unwind at the rooftop pool, which offers views that encourage relaxation after a busy day in Bangkok. The Six Senses Spa Bangkok will present a signature combination of advanced technology and personalized care, along with comprehensive wellness programs, mindful sleep initiatives, nourishing cuisine, and authentic engagement with the local community.
Scheduled to open shortly after the 60th anniversary of the original Narai Hotel in 2028, Six Senses Bangkok will honor the heritage while marking a new milestone for both the hotel and Bangkok itself.
This property will be one of two hotels opening at Hatai, which will also feature premium retail, dining, and community gathering spaces across nearly 6,000m². Six Senses Bangkok will join properties in Thailand, including Six Senses Samui and Six Senses Yao Noi, as well as international locations such as Rome, Kyoto, London, Milan, Lisbon, Dubai, and Tel Aviv.
