ThaiNamthip, a long-standing partner of The Coca-Cola Company in Thailand, is at the forefront of sustainability efforts, particularly in promoting circularity within packaging. With a commitment to The Coca-Cola Company’s vision of a “World Without Waste,” ThaiNamthip is actively pursuing initiatives to collect and recycle bottles and cans, aiming to use at least 50% recycled material in packaging by 2030.
In response to the global plastic crisis, ThaiNamthip introduced 100% recycled PET packaging in 2023, followed by new product offerings like 1-liter Coca-Cola bottles to raise consumer awareness. Encouraged by positive feedback, plans are underway to expand the use of recycled materials in packaging further.
Collaborating with partners like 7-Eleven and Mini Big C, ThaiNamthip is targeting eco-conscious consumers, introducing Coca-Cola bottles made from 100% recycled PET plastic. By steering sustainability efforts and advocating for responsible post-consumer packaging management, ThaiNamthip is leading the way in plastic packaging circularity in Thailand.
Through initiatives like the PRO-Thailand Network and collaboration with state agencies, ThaiNamthip collected over 32,000 tonnes of PET bottles in 2023, surpassing set targets. Despite challenges in transitioning to recycled plastics, the company remains dedicated to sustainable packaging solutions and calls for industry-wide cooperation to drive lasting change.
ThaiNamthip’s commitment extends beyond packaging sustainability, with a focus on water efficiency, energy reduction, and community support programs like the “RAKNAM” initiative. By fostering a triple-bottom-line approach—balancing people, planet, and profit—ThaiNamthip strives to set an example for responsible business practices and inspire others to join the journey towards a more environmentally conscious world.
