The Intercontinental Bangkok reopens.

The city’s most iconic five-star luxury hotel reopens its doors as the epitome of Thai hospitality, offering visitors unrivaled luxury experiences and elegant décor that are influenced by Thailand’s rich culture. Thailand’s Bangkok, June 5, 2023: After a multimillion dollar refurbishment and stunning makeover, InterContinental Bangkok, the city’s most recognizable five-star luxury hotel located in the center of Bangkok, has been reopened by the world’s first and largest luxury hotel brand, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.

The InterContinental Bangkok is conveniently close to the BTS Chidlom Skytrain and Bangkok’s main retail and commercial districts. It is situated in the city’s Central commercial District. The InterContinental Bangkok has been a fixture of the city of angels’ landscape for 20 years, but a multimillion-dollar refurbishment and stunning makeover have given it a newfound prominence as a large modern hotel geared toward modern living.

According to Stephen Gould, General Manager of InterContinental Bangkok, “InterContinental Bangkok is one of Thailand’s most upscale hotels and is a member of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio. For us, welcoming visitors back to the InterContinental Life represents a great accomplishment. We have painstakingly included a blend of contemporary sophistication and Thai heritage inspired by the customs of Thai welcoming rituals supported by world-class service throughout our makeover.

A genuinely unique network of concierges and coworkers combines local knowledge, history, and modernity to make our guests’ stays joyful and provide moments that matter to them.

Bangkok’s InterContinental Life is being reintroduced.

The hotel has reopened, offering 381 brand-new, opulent guestrooms, including Club InterContinental rooms and a variety of suites, with aesthetic tributes to Bangkok’s great palaces, cultural landmarks, and famous cityscape.

The striking focal point of the foyer, a chandelier modelled after the intricate Phuang Malai garland, warmly welcomes visitors in an elegant manner. With traditional floating flowers and well-known Kranok patterns dating back to the Sukhothai Kingdom, the walls and ceilings of the hotel showcase Thailand’s heritage and culture, and thoughtfully positioned modern abstract and local artisan artworks immerse visitors in the culture of the country. Exceptional Dining

The hotel’s seven dining and bar concepts, together with some of the most talented head chefs with Michelin-star restaurant leadership credentials, will transport guests from the west to the east through distinctive eating experiences, including:

SoCal: the opening of the city’s first California-inspired restaurant, which offers more than 50 California wine options in addition to a menu and mixology that combines a variety of fresh flavors with locally sourced, sustainably produced seasonal ingredients. The restaurant’s signature dishes include slow-cooked lamb neck, lobster tostada, grilled octopus, pork belly tacos, and cioppino seafood stew.

Espresso: A true all-day dining experience with live cooking stations and premium ingredients, inspired by the Bangkok street markets where each meal is a journey and a memorable experience.

Since 1966, Fireplace Grill and Bar has served high-quality traditional European fare like expertly cooked steaks and seafood.

Summer Palace offers authentic Cantonese food, beautifully made dim sum, and specialties produced by skilled chefs in a live kitchen setting.
