Top comic Jimmy Carr back for third gig in Bangkok in the new year

Those who enjoy deadpan delivery and adult humour should block off January 27, 2024, on their calendars.

Jimmy Carr, one of the most well-known and prolific stand-up comedians in the world, will perform for a third time in Bangkok. He is the host of the Channel 4 panel series 8 Out of 10 Cats, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.

On his official Facebook page, Carr just made an announcement about his comeback and admitted that he absolutely botched the venue’s name to the point where he may not be permitted to enter Thailand. Carr will begin the Asia part of the “Terribly Funny 2.0” tour after finishing up gigs in Europe. He will then go to Japan to play at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

He performed “Jimmy Carr Live in Bangkok” at the Grand Ballroom of The Westin Grande Sukhumvit back in pre-Covid 2019, it has been a very long time since his previous sold-out performance in Bangkok. “I took a trip up Soi Cowboy…the girls in the bars all seem rather ballsy,” he tweeted on the night of the show. As a result of the tweet’s success, another show was added that same evening.

The Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre, on the ninth floor of The Esplanade on Ratchadaphisek Road, has been selected as the location for his upcoming January concert, which promises to feature all-new materials.

Carr is known for provocative one-liners, vicious comebacks for hecklers, and “weird honking goose” laughing.
