Turbulence Injures Seven on Scoot Flight to China

Seven individuals were injured, including one who was hospitalized, after a plane operated by Singapore Airlines Ltd’s budget carrier Scoot experienced turbulence during a flight from Singapore to Guangzhou, China, on Friday, as reported by the Straits Times on Saturday.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, operating as Flight TR100, encountered turbulence while approaching its destination but landed safely at 9:10 AM local time, according to a statement from Scoot.

Upon arrival in Guangzhou, four passengers and three crew members received immediate medical assistance, with one individual being hospitalized for further observation, as reported by the budget airline.

In May, a separate incident involving a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore resulted in the death of one passenger and critical injuries to seven others due to severe turbulence encountered while entering Thai airspace.
