The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of continued heavy rainfall in the upper South on Monday, along with ongoing thunderstorms in Bangkok and northern Thailand.
In its latest 24-hour weather forecast released on Sunday, the department highlighted increased precipitation in the South, with some areas experiencing very heavy showers. This weather pattern is attributed to the convergence of northwesterly and northeasterly winds over the region.
Additionally, upper Thailand will remain prone to thunderstorms, with heavy rain expected in parts of the Central Plains, including Bangkok and nearby provinces, as well as in the Eastern region. Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert for potential flash floods and runoff.
