Thaksin planning to return in July. Despite the consequences

After nearly 17 years in exile, the former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is determined to return to Thailand in July, despite the possibility that he would be required to fulfill the 10-year prison sentence for which he fled.

He is born on July 26th.

Thaksin recently stated his intention to go back to Thailand in an interview that was filmed in Singapore, saying, “I have said earlier and have reconfirmed that. I’m waiting for Paetongtarn’s, Ung Ing, to decide on the time and date.

He stated that he wanted to be able to take care of his seven grandchildren so that their parents could concentrate on their jobs.

The interview’s excerpts state that Thaksin said he is too old to play politics and that it is “beyond my era” when asked if he might run for prime minister once more. This is not an era of the elderly; rather, it is the era of the new generation.

We older folks can advise the younger generation, but we can’t push them since we can’t keep up with them. Although we older people may be able to understand the younger ones, our comprehension is inferior to that of individuals who were raised outside of Thailand and are more fluent in the language.

I have a lengthy past, but a limited future, he declared. The future of the current generation is bright despite its recent past. We have a limited future, thus they have a better vision than we have.

When asked if we live in a “new world,” Thaksin responded, “Yes, it’s called a paradigm shift in English. Young folks now think differently. We senior citizens believe we can catch up. I read much, but only to a certain point. not on their level of deep thought.”
