Almost a year ago, numerous predictions surfaced about where The White Lotus Season 3 would be filmed. Now that the show is set to premiere and we’ve gotten a glimpse behind the scenes, we can confidently say that some of our guesses were spot-on, while others surprised us. From the idyllic Four Seasons in Koh Samui to the lively Bangkok nightclubs, Phuket’s boxing stadium, and two stunning temples, we’ve done some deep diving to bring you the inside scoop. Here are all the confirmed filming locations for The White Lotus season 3.
Although no official filming locations were confirmed pre-premiere, one thing we know for sure is that The White Lotus has a soft spot for Four Seasons properties. The first season was shot at the Four Seasons Resort Maui in Hawaii, and the second at the San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel, in Sicily. These destinations became part of a trend known as “set-jetting,” where the show’s allure boosted tourism and bookings in those locations. Noticing this, Four Seasons signed a global partnership with The White Lotus ahead of the third season’s debut. Considering the show centers around a murder mystery, this partnership adds an interesting layer to the luxury hotel chain’s image.
The Thai tourism board is also hoping for a tourism surge, with over 35 million visitors to Thailand in the past year. Reports already show a 21% increase in foreign arrivals since the beginning of 2025, and after The White Lotus season 3 airs, tourism numbers are expected to skyrocket, potentially even reaching pre-pandemic levels. Koh Samui, in particular, has already seen a jump in online searches, and hotel chains beyond Four Seasons are offering The White Lotus-inspired packages.
But we know The White Lotus fans aren’t just satisfied with knowing where the hotel is — they want every detail. So, analyzing trailers, teasers, and episodes down to the smallest frame, we’ve compiled a list of confirmed filming locations, which we’ll update as the season progresses.
Contrary to what it might seem, The White Lotus season 3 doesn’t take place in one single location. The filming spans multiple cities and islands, including Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan. There are at least four hotels and some private villas featured on-screen.
From the chic Sing Sing nightclub to the tranquil spa pavilion at the Anantara resort in Phuket, here are all the confirmed filming locations of The White Lotus season 3 that we know so far. While rumors have circulated in Thai media, we’ve only included filming locations with solid proof or public confirmation. As the season unfolds, we will continue to update this list and invite you to share any tips with us.
All the Filming Locations of The White Lotus Season 3, as Identified by a Local

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui
When it was revealed that The White Lotus would be filmed in Thailand, fans started dreaming about the perfect hotel settings. Mike White shared a selfie at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, but many questioned whether it would be the chosen property. Would it be the rustic charm of the Four Seasons Golden Triangle? The bustling Four Seasons Bangkok? Or the tranquil rice fields of the Four Seasons Chiang Mai?
As it turns out, we should’ve paid closer attention. From the first stills, it was clear that The White Lotus was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui. The resort confirmed this with sweeping shots of its signature villas nestled into the hillside, the stunning beachfront infinity pool, and the romantic, palm-lined breakfast area. The tagline “What happens in Thailand stays here” is a perfect fit for this luxury setting.

Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort
The Anantara chain makes multiple appearances in The White Lotus. According to a Bloomberg article, scenes were filmed at three Anantara properties in Koh Samui and Phuket. A mere 20-minute drive from the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort plays host to several key moments in the show. The resort has even launched a special “Passage of the Lotus” experience, offering guests trips to notable spots like the Big Buddha and Wat Plai Laem temples, both of which are featured on-screen.
As with the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, the Anantara Bophut Resort has plenty of monkey statues, which are an important motif in the show’s latest trailers. As actress Parker Posey notes, “There’s a great monkey theme,” referencing the show’s storyline.

Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort
Another Anantara property on Koh Samui, the Anantara Lawana Koh Samui is featured in The White Lotus season 3. Particularly, the resort’s Singing Bird Lounge makes an appearance. Situated in a 120-year-old treehouse, this lounge celebrates the island’s bird-singing contests, a tradition deeply embedded in the local culture.

Samujana Villas, Koh Samui
One of Koh Samui’s most luxurious properties, Samujana Villas, is rumored to have been the backdrop for several scenes in The White Lotus. The sprawling villas boast stunning views and impressive amenities, including expansive outdoor spaces, a private gym, cinema, and pool — all making for the perfect luxury getaway in the show.

Wat Phu Khao Thong, Koh Samui
Not to be confused with its namesake in Ayutthaya, Wat Phu Khao Thong in Mae Nam, Koh Samui, is a small temple that appears in the first episode. Piper Ratliff’s character mentions wanting to walk to this temple from the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, though in reality, it’s a two-hour walk away. Actress Aimee Lou Wood hints at the presence of snake motifs in the season, which may tie into the mythical nagas seen at this temple.

Fisherman’s Village, Koh Samui
Fisherman’s Village, one of Koh Samui’s most famous tourist attractions, also makes an appearance in The White Lotus season 3. Located in Bophut, this bustling area is home to shops, restaurants, and trendy beach bars. The vibrant energy of the area makes it an ideal spot for a lively scene, possibly even a Songkran water fight.

Haad Rin Beach, Koh Phangan
Fans of The White Lotus will recognize the neon lights of Haad Rin Beach, which is home to the famous Full Moon Party. The beach near Phangan Mantra Inn is featured in the show, and it’s clear that Patrick Schwarzenegger’s character enjoys this wild party atmosphere. Haad Rin is just a 30-minute ferry ride from Koh Samui, making it a perfect filming location for the show.

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas
In a Bloomberg interview, it was confirmed that the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas stood in for the White Lotus Spa in the show. Known for its serene spa offerings, the property’s wellness area, set within a lotus pond, aligns perfectly with the season’s themes of relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa even offers a “Lotus Awakening” ritual, adding to the fitting connection.

Bangla Boxing Stadium Patong, Phuket
In one of The White Lotus season 3’s more action-packed scenes, Muay Thai takes center stage. The boxing scene is likely filmed at Bangla Boxing Stadium in Phuket’s Patong, one of the most renowned Muay Thai arenas in the region. The connection to Anantara’s “Lotus Awakening Escape” package further suggests this location.

Cafe del Mar Phuket
Located on Kamala Beach in Phuket, the iconic Cafe del Mar appears in The White Lotus season 3. Known for its vibrant music scene and fire shows, the beach club makes a perfect backdrop for the high-energy vibe of the show.

Sing Sing Theater, Bangkok
The Sing Sing Theater, a trendy nightclub in Bangkok’s Thonglor neighborhood, also features in the show. Known for its neo-Chinoiserie décor, neon lights, and swinging dancers, this location is easily identifiable in both the teaser and trailer.

Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, Bangkok
Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen is known for its large bronze Buddha statue and tranquil surroundings. The temple appears in the promotional material, linking the show’s themes of spirituality with Buddhism.

Wat Suwannaram, Bangkok
A historic temple located along the Chao Phraya River, Wat Suwannaram is notable for its royal connections. The temple, with its sacred Buddha image, also plays a key role in The White Lotus season 3, as seen in the trailer.

Siri Sala Private Thai Villa, Bangkok
Situated in Bangkok Noi, Siri Sala is a luxury Thai wooden villa that offers a private pier with views of Wat Suwannaram. This serene, traditional residence fits the aesthetic of The White Lotus perfectly, offering a glimpse into the show’s exploration of luxury living.
