In order to avoid being duped, the state-run Transport Corporation has recommended bus riders to only purchase tickets at their designated ticket booths in its bus terminals and not from outside sources.
The recommendation was made today (Thursday) in response to an event that occurred yesterday at the Sai Tai Mai bus terminal, in which a bus passenger purchased a ticket to Nakhon Si Thammarat from a third party there. Later, when the customer sought to return the ticket to the seller for a refund, there was a heated argument.
Also, the bus firm urged customers to report any third parties they saw selling bus tickets to customers at any terminal to law enforcement or security personnel.
According to Sanlak Panwatanalikit, managing director of Transport Company, all bus terminals have CCTV installed and security personnel are on duty to ensure passenger safety.
