TMZ has reported that Jerry Springer, one of the most well-known and divisive individuals in television history, has passed away.

There was never a dull moment during Jerry’s 27 years as host of the wildly popular syndicated talk show “The Jerry Springer Show” The show was noted for its eccentric guests, who frequently got into violent altercations as the crowd chanted, “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!”According to a representative for the family, Jerry had a “brief illness.” According to our sources, he was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and this week things started to become worse.
