The cost of diesel in Thailand is now 32 baht per liter.

Diesel will now cost 32 Baht per liter, as authorised by the Oil Fuel Fund Office (OFFO).

The new retail price for diesel will be 32 baht per liter, according to an announcement made by OFFO Director Wisak Watanasap during the OFFO meeting. Beginning on May 15, this adjustment will be in force.

This is the sixth price change since February, totaling a 3 baht per liter decrease. This is the second price adjustment in May. It not only lowers individuals’ cost of living, but also transportation costs and barriers to the country’s economic recovery.

Falling global fuel prices, particularly for diesel, were the cause of the reduction. Diesel’s average price for the period from May 1 to May 8 was US$86.42 per barrel, down $10.70 from the previous month.

The financial situation of the OFFO has also improved, with a deficit of 79.3 billion baht, split between a deficit in the fuel account of roughly 32.6 billion baht and a deficit in the LPG account of 46.7 billion baht.
