New Daily Service Adds Full-Service Option to Popular Route
Sun PhuQuoc Airways will launch daily non-stop flights connecting Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport with Phu Quoc starting August 8, giving travellers a full-service alternative on a route previously served mainly by low-cost carriers. The roughly 80-minute flight will depart Phu Quoc at 10:35am and land in Bangkok at 11:55am, with the return service departing Bangkok at 1:10pm.
To mark the launch, the airline is offering promotional one-way fares from 2,250 baht, inclusive of taxes and fees, for flights booked within the route's first month of operation. The new connection is expected to appeal to both Thai travellers seeking easy access to Phu Quoc's beaches and Vietnamese visitors travelling onward through Bangkok.
Bangkok Becomes Airline's Sixth International Destination in Under Five Months
The Bangkok route marks Sun PhuQuoc Airways' sixth international destination, arriving less than five months after the carrier began its overseas expansion under its "Rise to Asia" strategy. The airline has already launched routes to Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore and Chengdu since starting international operations earlier this year.
The rapid rollout underscores growing airline competition on Southeast Asian leisure routes, as carriers race to capture rising demand for direct flights between regional tourism hubs. For Thailand, the new service adds another option for outbound travellers as the country's aviation sector continues to expand connections across the region.
