Pita Limjaroenrat, the leader of Move Forward, stated the party’s policies and its position on forming a new government following the May 14 general election.

Pita, a former party-list MP for the now-defunct Future Forward Party, stated that Move Forward was ready to join forces with the opposition parties because they had the best solutions to the problems. “However, we will never ally with the so-called military-led parties, namely the Palang Pracharath (PPRP) and United Thai Nation (UTN) parties.”General Prawit Wongsuwan and General Prayut Chan-o-cha, respectively, have been proposed as the PPRP and UTN’s candidates for prime minister.

Pita declared, “I won’t be in the new Cabinet if either Gen Prayut or Gen Prawit is in it.

The present opposition parties should be able to gain enough seats, he continued, in order to create a new government, which would be the “suitable” outcome for Thai politics. Pheu Thai is mostly a partner in opposition to Move Forward.Pita also emphasized his party’s plan to rewrite the Constitution in order to banish the military from politics, boost SMEs, do away with monopolistic business practices, and devolve administrative authority to local communities.

We have policies that cater to the requirements of the younger generation, such removing the requirement for conscription and allowing same-sex unions, according to Pita. In addition, we offer senior allowances, land reformation, and debt restructuring measures to older citizens. In response to recent surveys showing a rise in support for Move Forward, Pita declared: “Our party is in the best position ever. Move Forward prioritizes rural areas, the needs of both the younger and elderly generations, and is not just concerned with Bangkok. We actually are a party for all Thai people.

The Move Forward Party and UTN are the next most popular parties in both constituency and party-list elections, according to the results of the first opinion poll released by Nation Poll on Tuesday. Pheu Thai is in first place overall. But out of almost 40,000 responders, 30% were still unsure which party to support.

Paetongtarn Shinawatra of Pheu Thai came out on top in the poll of candidates for prime minister with 33.81%, followed by Pita (16.84%) and General Prayut (8.13%), with 22.58% still undecided.
