Central expansion bangkok one 15 feb 2024

Central Department Store, part of Central Retail, is gearing up for a dynamic start to 2024 by revealing an all-encompassing business plan for the first quarter. This plan includes substantial renovations at two of its Bangkok locations, Central Megabangna and Central Fashion Island, as well as the grand openings of two new stores, Central Nakhon Sawan and Central Nakhon Pathom. Through a combined investment of 2 billion Baht, the department store aims to solidify its position as a leading nationwide destination for inspiration. The strategic placement of these four branches is intended to create meaningful experiences in areas with promising potential in Bangkok, the upper central region, and the western region. In addition to aiming to cultivate a festive environment and community spirit, the initiative also seeks to drive tourism and boost the economy by providing enhanced shopping experiences while generating employment opportunities in various regions of Thailand.

The business plan for the first quarter emphasizes the revitalization of key stores to better meet customer needs and optimize space utilization. Central Megabangna and Central Fashion Island, located in Bangkok, have undergone substantial transformations as part of this effort. The enhanced design and ambiance radiate a sense of renewal, warmth, and a welcoming atmosphere, fostering an enjoyable shopping environment. These renovated branches not only sport a fresh look but also introduce a range of new brands across various departments, focusing on Beauty Galerie, Fashion, Home, and Mom and Kids segments. The goal is to offer a comprehensive shopping experience tailored to the lifestyles of local customers, eliminating the need to travel to the city center. Customers now have convenient access to renowned brands at their nearby Central Department Store.

A significant part of the first quarter’s activities includes the inauguration of two new stores: Central Nakhon Sawan in late January and Central Nakhon Pathom in late March. Central Department Store Nakhon Sawan stands as the first and largest department store in the upper central region, serving as a gateway to the northern region. With a unique design concept that integrates the locality’s strong Thai-Chinese community identity, the Central Nakhon Sawan branch offers a distinctive experience. The Central Nakhon Pathom branch features a stunning design inspired by the province’s iconic landmark, Phra Pathommachedi. Across all four branches, a sustainable design approach prevails, emphasizing the use of eco-friendly and recycled materials. The integration of local products further enhances the design details, aligning with Central Department Store’s commitment to sustainability and community integration. The opening of these new branches is expected to stimulate the economies of the respective provinces.

Central Megabangna, located in the east of Bangkok, has been expanded to over 23,000 square meters, featuring the refreshing “GARDENA” concept, incorporating lush green spaces throughout the area. Boasting an additional 7,000 square meters, each section is adorned with trees and flowers, blending seamlessly with warm brown tones of wooden decorative materials, thus creating a unique shopping atmosphere akin to a city park. The store’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its emphasis on eco-friendly and recycled materials. Exclusive to Central Megabangna, customers can experience the CENTRAL x WASINBUREE design project, showcasing shelf displays crafted from pottery by Thailand’s esteemed ceramic artist, Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch. The third-generation heir of Ratchaburi’s famed Tao Hong Tai ceramics factory adds modern details to each zone. This revamped establishment aims to cater to diverse customer groups, including the new generation, families, and affluent residents residing in eastern Bangkok, and is expected to attract customers from areas extending to Chonburi and the Eastern Economic Corridor.

Central Fashion Island in Ramintra has undergone a transformation with its rebranding from Robinson Department Store to Central Department Store. Covering 20,000 square meters, the redesigned mall now emanates a unique vibrancy and brightness in line with its captivating “GRAND STATION” concept. Positioned as a happiness destination in the Ramintra area, this transition caters to the entire family. Across the three floors, each telling a unique story, customers embark on a curated journey through diverse landscapes. The spacious station, featuring high ceilings and specially patterned floor tiles, creates a delightful shopping atmosphere. This new look introduces premium brands featuring internationally renowned names, ensuring a superior shopping experience for every generation in the area.

Central Department Store is expanding its business footprint by introducing Nakhon Sawan’s first and most comprehensive department store, Central Nakhon Sawan, positioned as the “Gateway to the North.” Drawing inspiration from the rich Thai-Chinese culture of Nakhon Sawan and the decorations seen in Thai-Chinese homes, the design integrates modern and contemporary elements across all zones. Encompassing an expansive area of 13,500 square meters, this establishment aspires to become the new beauty and fashion destination for the lower northern region, contributing to the everyday happiness of Nakhon Sawan. A diverse selection from over 500 world-class brands is on offer, and the department store is poised to cater to diverse lifestyles and ignite fresh inspiration for both shoppers and tourists. Central Department Store envisions not just a retail presence but a catalyst for economic growth in Nakhon Sawan Province.

The upcoming Central Nakhon Pathom, situated along Petchkasem Road near the city center and Silpakorn University, features a chic concept inspired by the iconic “Phra Pathommachedi,” the province’s landmark. The architecture and interior decorations are designed to establish a department store that resonates with everyone in the region. Spanning 14,000 square meters, it aims to offer a diverse range of renowned brand products across various categories, catering to the preferences of customers from every generation.

Central Department Store extends a warm invitation to explore its diverse range of products and participate in the grand opening celebrations across all branches. It also offers several convenient shopping platforms, including the Central App, www.central.co.th, the Central Chat & Shop service via Line @centralofficial, and the Central Call & Shop, as well as personalized assistance from Central Personal Shopper by calling 1425.
