A total of 12,805 flights were conducted between Thailand and China between October 2022 and April of this year, according to the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI), a 98% increase from the same time period the previous year.China’s early-year optimization of its pandemic strategy, according to AEROTHAI President Nopasit Chakpitak, has raised demand for flights and higher aircraft frequencies between the two nations.
Nopasit reported that there had been more flights between China and Thailand this year than last, with 4,240 flights in April, up from 1,063 in January.More flights from China are expected in the upcoming months, according to AEROTHAI, which is forecasting over 7,000 flights in the months of July, August, and September.
According to the AEROTHAI statement, more than 46,000 flights are anticipated between October 2022 and September 2023, which is still 66% fewer than during the same time in 2019.
